A red heart with a black space then a white outline with horns on a black background

My hope for this community is to create a space that is welcoming and inclusive to kink. No shame, no berating, no judgment of character for what sexual interests one may have. This is one area where Erotica can truly shine as a medium: acceptance.

I could do a deep dive into kink and have a blast creating little articles on my own proclivities, but that's not what I want this blog to be about. It's not me, it's us. This is where I get to read offerings from our members and put a spotlight on them for a moment. Their interests, their likes, their sexualities and identities and anything they want to share with me as a whole.

Kink is where my friend and co-admin, Sigh, truly shines as a writer.

Her work has been such a delight to read, and while her stories are not the stories I typically seek out, her storytelling is always superbly sublime! She focuses on various kinks, but a standout, particularly in her early works, is crossdressing. This taboo existence for men to dress as women is one that, particularly in today's political climate, can actually be dangerous to indulge in.

I hate that I even have to say it, but if a man finds comfort and pleasure in dressing as a woman, more power to him. There is a lot of overlap between drag and crossdressing, but the two do not have to be seen as the same thing. Drag is an artform of expression and performance, while crossdressing may be anything from performative to simple comfort. And I want to stress that crossdressing is not the same as being transgender. There is no hard line of "This person is a crossdresser, therefore they are..."

With drag, we often see the assumption that all performers are gay and that is simply not the case. Straight men get enjoyment out of performing as a woman. Gay men get enjoyment out of performing as a woman. Straight women get enjoyment out of performing as a man. Gay women get enjoyment out of performing as a man.

Transgendered and nonbinary individuals may or may not get enjoyment out of dressing as the gender they express, or the one opposite it, but they do not perform the gender they express. They exist as that gender. They live within the skin and expectations of that gender. It is them and it is not a performative expression of gender in the way that crossdressing and drag are.

Crossdressing is something that is often done in secret. It is seen as shameful and degrading. It is sad to me that many men may find a skirt and heels more comfortable than crisp trousers and loafers but they must hide that comfort from the world lest they be thought of as inferior specimens of man. What is it about that center seam in a piece of clothing that solidifies ones manhood?

One of my recent reads by Sigh is "Can I Be Your French Maid" A stellar story which is available for free on Literotica. To sum it up, it tells the story of a husband who secretly indulges in his crossdressing fantasies until he decides to make an offer to his wife: become her personal French maid for a few hours, if she'll put makeup on him. She takes him up on the offer with glee, eager to see the chores that have been piling up completed. A whirlwind of experiences tumbles forth across the six-part series.

Within the story, Sigh explores femdom, latex wear, strap-ons, pegging, feminization, and crossdressing with a deft and poetic hand to her prose. Each chapter adds to the story, a trickle of information that merges into a whole image at the conclusion, and what a conclusion it is! She also delves into sexuality, but I'll save that for another post, this one is about kink!

It made me happy to see Sigh tackle this sense of shame in her writing only for it to come out as unfounded as no one even batted an eye at the main character's attire, short of one backwoods oaf with a loud mouth. A bully as it's rightfully pointed out.

Assumptions abound in the world of writing kink and I hope one day we can just let people fucking enjoy things that make them happy.

With that said, Sigh is my second in command at Erotically Inclined, and many of her offerings currently are submission based sissification fantasy stories with some moderate to light femdom in play. Her works are stellar and you can find them on Amazon. She has been a wonderful friend to have over the past few years and I couldn't be happier to have her along on the journey of Erotically Inclined's growth, as she undertakes her own journey exploring her kinks and interests in ways that just might shift her storytelling in the future. A switch is a wonderful thing to be!
